Traveling on the Chattanooga Choo-Choo: Day 2

The following morning – after enjoying the Chattanooga Choo-Choo’s breakfast buffet – we captured some photos of the unique architecture around the hotel. We also explored some of the on-site shops and purchased some fun, local souvenirs before checking out of the hotel!

After enjoying the shops around the Chattanooga Choo-Choo, we drove to the summit of Lookout Mountain to learn more about the Union victory during the Battle Above The Clouds in the Civil War. We also walked around Point Park and took in sweeping views of Chattanooga and the Tennessee River below us.

By this time, sunset was upon us and it was almost time to head back to Georgia. However, before we jumped back on I-75 South, we grabbed some delicious seafood & burgers at Jefferson’s Restaurant and grabbed some images of the picturesque First Methodist Church Tower. At the end of the day, it was a fun, quaint trip that allowed us to have an affordable, early winter staycation and explore nature, history and great food!

We always love free parking! Thanks Chattanooga!
